How much do you overlap the wind barrier?

C
Aha, so you're supposed to have it upright?

You can place it in any direction you want, but try to overlap a stud, almost impossible to seal otherwise.
The width of the rolls is adapted so they can cover two standard compartments (120cm) and then they overlap by a stud width.

Well, then it's just a matter of considering how many compartments there will be and buying rolls accordingly... Thanks!

You only need to make sure it becomes reasonably windproof, that's all. :)

Also, pay attention to the connection to the sill, wall plate, and other places; the layer's task is to seal against wind penetration, so it must work everywhere. However, houses won't become unhealthy due to mistakes here; higher heating costs and drafts are the only negatives if you fail. :o

And considering that it's about a garage, maybe it's not that picky.. :P

What? Isn't the garage the most important space in the whole house?:D I just added insulation and paneling to mine. I used a membrane instead of windbreaker paper, really practical if there are two people. I got a roll of membrane that was wide enough to cover the whole wall, "just" (not so just, it's good if there are two) to roll out and staple to the studs.
