I have a garage with 70mm insulation in the walls. I'm thinking of improving this a bit while I'm replacing the panel.
If I add an extra 70mm, the majority of the finished wall will hang outside the slab. This doesn't feel quite right.
Is there a clever way to build to get an extra 70mm?
If I play it safe and add 45mm extra insulation, "only" half the wall is hanging in the air. Is this OK?

I have 25 mm sawdust in my house.

Built a workshop with 120mm in the wall and 45mm insulation thickness, really good energy efficiency. There's 500mm loose fill insulation in the ceiling.
Mjo 140mm might be a bit much. But if I'm going to become a ping pong pro and need to keep it warm all winter, I want some economy in that.
At the very least, I'll add 45mm and then almost 60% of the wall is hanging in the air. Feels a bit backwards, but at the same time, we're not talking about gigantic weights/forces.
So, OK?

Yes, it's okay.
Is the eave enough just to protect the walls?
But you shouldn't have it so warm when you train pingis.
It's a very active sport, so you stay warm anyway.
