How about using outdoor sealant indoors, can you use outdoor sealant inside? I understand that indoor sealant cannot be used outdoors, but what does the expertise say about this?
I can't see any problems at all with using outdoor sealant indoors, except possibly the composition which could be a health hazard? As far as technically speaking, disregarding health concerns, it can't be anything but an advantage to use outdoor sealant indoors, since it's more durable and robust.Snickrahemma said:
What is the name of the outdoor sealant? Brand/type?
I have several types, Byggmax utefog, Bostic Seal 1566 and illbruk SB014.

Ok. 3 different ones. If you have a lot of this to use up and want to be on the safe side, make a quick call to each of the manufacturers and ask if they are health-wise suitable for indoor use.Snickrahemma said:
I believe it will work fine, but you never know what they're doing with the composition of these sealants nowadays, so safest to ask, I think, especially if you have children in the residence where the sealants are intended to be applied. They have, so to speak, more sensitive bodies than adults, moreover.
For the Byggmax sealant, for example, you have the following safety data sheet:
https://cdn-webp.byggmax.se/media/catalog/product/attachments/72038/0_18120-Säkerhetsdatablad.pdf-1572001296.5977.pdf
For the Bostic sealant:

For the Illbruck sealant, the following applies, as stated on their website:
"Application area
Sealing of outdoor joints with small joint movements and/or with weak joint edges, e.g., porous and dusty concrete surfaces. Adheres excellently to wood, metal, plaster, stucco, brick, and concrete without primer. Also suitable for concealed joints indoors, so-called diffusion seals around doors, windows, and for plumbing and sewage seals."
So there it explicitly states that it is suitable indoors, though for concealed joints as it appears. You can therefore use it directly without calling and asking.

Hope this is your best answer! Good luck with the sealing!
Thank you for your detailed response, it couldn't have been better!
