Hello! Unexpectedly, our new house doesn't have an outdoor faucet for connecting a garden hose, sprinkler, or similar. Is there any best practice on how to proceed with this? Price idea and work involved? Or is it perhaps the same cost to install a pump in the unused borehole?
The type of water tap is called a water outlet. Keep in mind that:

- do not buy cheap crap
- the outlet should be self-draining (frost-proof)
- dimension the water supply pipes generously so you can get good pressure even in a long hose

just bought an outdoor water faucet at copp. It actually only cost 399 kr (Gustavsberg) A plumber installed it for 1000 kr. Don't forget to install a valve on the inside so you can turn it off from the inside!
Sure, that sounds super convenient. Additionally, you might want to give the kids a few liters of hot water for the splash pool on the lawn. The big disadvantage with that model (FMM artnr 4282-0050, RSK 431 71 03) is that it is NOT self-draining. Worth considering, I think.pellepite said:
The advertisement from Bad & Värme states that it is:
"Guaranteed freeze-proof, even if the water hose remains attached. The valve bodies with an approved check valve are installed on the inside of the wall in a heated space."
The text is transcribed verbatim from the ad leaflet I received last week.
But it doesn't specifically say that it is self-draining, but at least it's "guaranteed freeze-proof"

Bought two Mora from rinkaby and they work perfectly, judging by the construction they are very durable.
One important thing is to turn it off at the FAUCET, not at the HOSE, if you do the latter the spout will guaranteed freeze and break, regardless of whether it is self-draining or not.
