My father-in-law has a plastic roof laid over the patio. Where the house's roof extends over the plastic roof, there is a piece of bent metal to move the runoff further out onto the plastic roof. In this metal, there are screw holes from before, which we want to seal.
So: what sealant do we use to seal screw holes in metal outdoors in the Sundsvall area?
Preferably, it should be transparent since it will be somewhat visible from certain angles. Bonus if it also works for holes in wood and plastic.
Silicone? Brand? Model?
Better alternatives?
Preferably links to Biltema, Byggmax, Bauhaus, Clas Ohlson etc.

Cut small squares of metal (just slightly larger than the holes) in the same color as your current metal, apply a dab of outdoor sealant in the hole, and place your metal square there.
It won't last forever, but if a piece of metal comes off in 10 years, so what.

Or glue on roofing felt over the metal (with asphalt adhesive/cold asphalt).
Linseed putty for holes in wood.
For transparent plastic, maybe you could glue on small transparent plastic pieces? Or tape with a fairly strong transparent tape (for outdoor use if available)?

I got sick over the weekend, so there was no closer inspection of the whole thing.
The background to the story is that we have some leakage at the back of the roof due to a very low slope. This means the water runs upwards and down along the house wall.
Our suspicion is that these screw holes/poor sealing between the screw and the sheet metal might have something to do with it.
However, we want to look at it before we decide on a solution. Will get back after a closer look.
