Hello,

I was planning to build a pull-up bar and a dip station to be placed outdoors.
The idea is for them to be in 95x95 pressure-treated wood, except for the handles themselves, where I need something round with a diameter of about 30-40 mm.
I'm considering using a rundstav, but I'm unsure if it will hold. The dip station needs to support about 50 kg (span of about 100 cm) per handle, and the pull-up bar 100 kg (span of about 100 cm). this https://www.beijerbygg.se/privat/sv...verk/rundstavar/rundstav-furu-33mm-obehandlad
What should I treat them with? It needs to be something non-sticky and preferably non-toxic, but still suitable for outdoor use.

Here are two images of how I envisioned the dip station:
Outdoor chin-up and dip station design with wooden frame and round handles, dimensions marked for construction.
Blueprint of a dip bar design with measurements: width 894 mm, height 607 mm. Four angled legs and a top bar, suitable for outdoor construction in wood.

And here is the pull-up bar:
Outdoor chin-up bar design with dimensions, wooden frame, metal handle, and triangular base for stability.

Here's how I built.

Pipes from rinkaby.

Nice!
No rinkaby rör nearby here but maybe they can be ordered online.
What size do you have?

I would also think that metal pipes are better than wood - I have that in my outdoor chin-up bar. If the pipes get slippery, you can wrap some sports tape around for better grip.

A consideration, pressure-treated wood is quite unpleasant, and there is a risk that you might touch it while training. Could it be an option to build it with construction timber of 95x95 instead and surface-treat it, and perhaps place it on some lecablocks or similar so it is not in direct contact with the ground?
