Hi, Is it possible to use only OSB board when building a bathroom in a wooden house? I plan to have a wet room mat and wet room wallpaper.

Hi, welcome to the forum.

I think the question would be better suited in the bathroom forum.
Maybe a moderator can move it?

Personally, I don't see OSB as a good base for wallpapering. I don't know anything about wet room flooring on OSB.

OSB moves a bit (theoretically). More than particle board and plywood. That's why they are 3mm smaller in size and need a small gap between each sheet. Additionally, they are often waxed, which can make it tricky for glue to adhere.

I would say OSB (or particle board) + gypsum. Check with the flooring installer what he thinks.

Is it allowed to have OSB in the walls of a bathroom? Even if it's supposed to have a wet room wallpaper! I thought you had to use the new "crazy expensive" boards that don't contain any living material, regardless of the surface finish you plan to have.

Nope. The painters allow (and advocate for) paper gypsum for wet room systems. Wet room wallpapers should belong to this too, right?
