have read through the threads that mention the topic but I'm not really sure of what I'm reading.. I'm down to the moisture barrier now and was planning to go with OSB and then 6 mm gypsum on top and then put tiles and wall cabinets on this, but maybe it won't hold?

Alternatively, if necessary, cut open the plastic and screw in battens and then put the gypsum on top and then the cabinets?

Can someone bring some clarity?

I am a carpenter by trade and would easily install in the kitchen rule 45/70, cc 45 cm, osb 90 cm wide, 12.5 mm(13), and one layer of drywall (13 mm) on top of that. Why specifically 6 mm renovation drywall? The stability becomes better... thereafter install the kitchen and tile after that.
