Orangery

I didn't insulate the foundation. Just a base layer of 0-32mm. Used Leca 250x250x190 as the base, reinforced with 12mm and then shaped and cast 70mm on top of it and built three layers up with Leca after that. I know there are base blocks for Leca but thought it was expensive, so I did it this way, as it's only going to support a few hundred kilos. Hope my theory holds.

New to the forum. Planning to build an octagon-shaped orangery this summer, 6m in diameter with a roof height of 3.8m. I dug out and prepared last autumn, so now it's just a matter of waiting for spring to get started. Now to my question, is 45x70 sufficient for the wall and roof framing, or do I need to go up to 45x95? I don't want it to look bulky

back to building again, hand-mixed 64 bags of concrete for the slab. It's going to be Moroccan-patterned tiles on later.

now there's not much left, just start and cultivate
You have received rudely little attention. Nice build 👍😁
