Hi, not sure if this is the right department, but I've been thinking for a while about opening up the attic to get high ceilings and exposed beams. But only for half of the attic, so I won't need to make any replacements.
Is there anything specific to consider? When you think about it, it feels like a relatively easy job, I mean there aren't that many steps. Am I off base?

Easy and easy, a matter of perspective and experience. It is clear that it can be solved.

There are some things to consider, mainly around ventilation and condensation protection between the outer roof's construction and the new insulation that becomes your new ceiling.

Many threads on the forum, most recently this one http://www.byggahus.se/forum/fritidshus/201326-astak.html address the whole issue.

Ok, I'll look around a bit. Thanks
