I have purchased Moelven's single-fas panel to be used as horizontal cladding. 22x145. See attached image for the type of panel. According to various instructions, these should only be nailed/screwed at the bottom edge, but they only cover 120 boards. This is because the board above holds the board below in place. However, I have a hard time believing that the tongue and groove will hold if the board below decides to warp. Everyone omits how to handle 145 boards like the ones I have.

What is the guideline for 22x145, should you still only nail one nail at the bottom edge? How would you do it? This is cladding for the upper part of the house on the short sides, so I won't be able to fix anything later on directly.

Ok, maybe it will be 2. One about 3 cm up and one at the top then? It hasn't cracked or anything?

No cracks yet. It's been in place since 2017. Here's a picture of how we did it.

  • Red painted wooden boards with nails, showing no cracks since installation in 2017.

Looks good there. 🙂 With 120-boards, it might be tight with two nails/screws. But with 145, they end up quite a bit apart.
