Hello!
I'm demolishing in the basement of our house built in '69.
There used to be an oil furnace in the house, and what I assume is the chimney, a steel pipe like spiror(?) is built into a duct.
I started by knocking a hole in the duct and can see fine fibers sticking out from the plasterboard, with the name gipsonit wallboard on the back of the board, and immediately started thinking about Eternit. Planning to send it for analysis, but does anyone know anything about this material?
Thanks in advance

I started by poking a hole in the duct and I think I see fine fibers protruding from the gypsum board, the name gipsonit wallboard is on the back of the board and I immediately started thinking of asbestos. Planning to send it in for analysis, but does anyone know anything about this material?
Thanks in advance![]()
