Thinking of removing the old parquet (25mm) and leveling the sloping existing floor joists which are installed on a concrete intermediate floor.
The joists are spaced at 55cm centers.
My first thought was to level the joists and glue-screw 22mm chipboard on top. On top of this, I thought of screwing cross battens and installing underfloor heating (20mm).
However, chipboard is not cheap, so instead, I'm considering constructing it as shown in the picture, with 28x70 cross battens at 30cm centers on the leveled joists and then 22x120mm cross battens across. In this, there will be plates, tubes with felt paper, and 14mm parquet on top.
I should add that I need approximately this height on the floor to connect neatly to an adjacent tiled floor.
What do you think about this construction?
In the picture, the two horizontal 45x95 represent the floor joists.
Without being an expert, I think it sounds like a good foundation.
There might be a little give if you "force" it by jumping a bit, but how often are you in those situations?
