Interesting article where Danske Bank predicts a 25-40% price drop on sawn timber within a month. The question is how long it will take before it impacts the construction trade? The turnover rate should be quite high, so assuming their prediction is correct, it should begin to affect the market before the end of the year.

A spontaneous guess is that the price to the customer, at least, won't be adjusted down at the same pace as it was adjusted up, as cynical as one is...
 
I was at Jem&Fix the other day, and they had the regular 2500x1200x12 plywood reduced by over a hundred kronor from 4-hundred-something to 3-hundred-something .. so obviously, things are happening ...

Now that a few weeks have passed since the article, I still feel I can say that prices are on the decline. I think some things have become at least a little cheaper. It will be exciting to follow. I've already bought a lot for my garage build, but it's appreciated if prices continue to drop regardless.
