I'm going to put up a new wall in an old apartment and plan to use wooden studs. But the floor and ceiling are concrete, and you read a lot about how wood and concrete don't go together. I can understand this in a regular house with a concrete slab where some moisture can still come from the surrounding ground. But does the same apply in an apartment with concrete from 1938?
No, it doesn't apply if the apartment isn't on a ground slab. And it likely isn't in a house from 1938.S stefand said:Planning to put up a new wall in an old apartment and thought of using wooden studs.
