Planning to extend our old cottage (barrack) and got a bit unsure about what to use in the exterior walls.
Considering the following steps: Facade-batten-windproofing-studs/Insulation- ? - installation space-drywall.
What should I use there?
Building foil doesn't feel right since the rest of the cottage is old and the indoor temperature drops when we’re not there.

I would probably have used some form of diffusion-open insulation like wood fiber, iCell or something similar, and then a vapor barrier on the inside. Then the new doesn't differ from the old so much.

What do you use as a vapor barrier?
Is fiberglass insulation considered vapor-permeable insulation?

You place a vapor barrier on the inside, same as a vapor barrier. I probably expressed myself a bit awkwardly, diffusion-open is the wrong word, I meant hygroscopic. For example, sawdust that was used in the past is hygroscopic. Fiberglass is not hygroscopic if I remember correctly.

Screw the board from underneath into something. Attach clamp, screw (with screws that don't go through), remove clamp, saw.
