I am planning to replace my existing 50 sqm deck (28x120) and am considering using 34x120 decking boards instead. This is because the spacing between the joists is currently a bit too wide. It's quite okay, but I would prefer it to be a bit sturdier. If I switch, I won't have to lay new joists across and therefore won't have to change the direction of the boards. The downside is that I will have joints since the length will be about 8 m. My thought is that the cost between 28x120 and 34x120 will be offset by all the new joists I would have to buy to achieve a c/c distance of 40-50 cm instead of the current c/c 60. I live in Tyresö and was planning to get quotes from Trollbäckens Trä, XL/Palms Bygg, Byggmax Haninge, and Byggolle Nacka. Some people mention Optimera. Maybe I'll check their prices too.
