I have plans to build a bathroom and need some help. I am attaching a picture of how it looks now. I assume I can put the support beam in place; can it be done with a joist hanger? Laying drainage, should one use expanded clay at the bottom? Insulating, should I use oil board? And should one use a liquid membrane or is the waterproofing membrane sufficient? Floorboard and wet room drywall? And then the same thing on the walls? The difficult part might be when it's time to use levelling compound, tiling, etc.? But everything can be done by yourself as long as you follow what the manufacturer of the wet room products says?
Image of a partially constructed room with a gravel floor, bare walls, and an unfinished window opening, possibly intended for a bathroom renovation.

And what does it cost approximately per m2 from flooring to gypsum? Can one also take the opportunity to lower the floor to get better height and should some kind of ventilation be installed under the flooring?
