Hello!

Almost exactly a year ago, I knocked down our concrete staircase with a basement staircase underneath.
And with the help of a form, I cast the steps and plastered the rest of the stairs and basement walls. I used primer and reinforcement mesh on the basement staircase's ceiling and walls.
I was very pleased with everything until a few days ago when I noticed small thin cracks in the stair steps. I thought I had kept an eye on them after the mild winter and couldn't see any cracks then. But now they are there. Now the question is what to do.

Should I wait another year to see if they get bigger, or can I lay tiles over it? I'm not too keen on knocking it down again and starting over...

Grateful for any helpful answers or ideas.

/Lars
