New concrete on old concrete what to consider

Hello.

We have bricked up the garage door and are going to build a new concrete staircase along the garage door (from outside down to the basement). Is there anything special to consider when doing this? Do I need to have anything between the garage concrete and the staircase concrete?

A bit unclear what you mean. Will the staircase be entirely on the outside wall? If so, is the question whether it needs to be attached to the wall?

The staircase will be on the outside wall. It will be cast against the old concrete. Both the side and the staircase.
