Hi!
I've torn down the old ceiling (asbestos cement) in the boiler room, so now only the rough paneling is visible in the basement.
I've "cleaned up" as best as I can and plan to put up plasterboard.

I'm considering using a roll of age-resistant building film that I almost have entirely leftover, which was purchased as packaging material for the old ceiling.
The thought occurred to me that maybe I should put it up in the ceiling before the plasterboard.
Could that be sensible?

I'm going to install geothermal heating there next week, so the boiler won't be used anymore. Half of the area will be used as a wood storage room since we have a fireplace on the ground floor. The remaining area... maybe I'll place a workbench for small crafts, or something. :)

You should not have a vapor barrier between the joists if both floors are heated.

Then I'll skip the ångspärren.

I'll have to find another use :p
