Need quick answer about fine concrete

Hey.

Can anyone give a quick answer regarding whether it's possible to cast plinths with fine concrete.
K40, 0-4mm
If not, what are the risks?

A little difficult to say when we don't know what type of plinths you're going to cast? Is it for a deck or are you going to place an entire house on plinths? For my deck, I cast 150mm plinths that are about 1200mm long in fine concrete with reinforcement in, and it seems to work perfectly fine...

Hmm. Maybe I should have mentioned it.
The plinths are supposed to be for a carport with a storage room at the back. Tiled roof.

max 150mm thick plintar are perfectly suitable for fine concrete.

JocZ, then I assume you want a thicker dimension for the piers than 150mm and thus coarse concrete.

Thanks for the answers. What could happen if you were to cast with finbetong. The pillars are between 45-95 cm high.
However, I haven't done it yet.

Problem solved!! Switched to coarse concrete and the casting completed,
