Nailing guidelines indoors for horizontal paneling?

Considering horizontal paneling on the interior walls of a vacation home. Wall construction from the outside: Vertical board and batten 22+22 mm, air gap 28 mm, Rockwool facade board 80 mm, afsaboard 12 mm, 170 mm studs, installation layer 45 mm. The inner paneling is 22 mm thick. Can the installation layer consist of vertical 45x45 nailed to the studs? What are the views on the disadvantage of thermal bridges? Given the panel thickness of 22 mm, can the nail spacing be increased to 120 cc to reduce the number of thermal bridges? /Roddare
