I'm currently renovating some shelves and cabinets. The hardboard back panels have been removed and will be replaced with new hardboard. The frames are made of solid pine. I'm considering using my brad nailer to fasten the hardboard. Has anyone done this??? Does it work with 1.2 mm T-brads, or are the heads too small to hold the panels in place? The tool is a Senco FinishPro 18. What length of brad nails is recommended?

Tested nailing masonite with 1.25x1.00 50mm nails, the nail heads went straight through on 90%. The others just came loose when you lifted the board slightly. These were almost full-size boards, maybe it holds better for small ones...

Staple gun for staples with a narrow back (5.7mm) recommended.

This type of gun is often a combined staple/finishing nail gun.
And leaves marks in the wood when nailing with nails. :(
