Planning to nail beadboard (120mm) on the ceiling and considering renting a brad nailer. I will paint the panel, but I'm wondering if the nails will be visible. Are the marks from a nail gun (Senco Finish Pro 35) so noticeable that you need to fill them?
If I skip the gun and use a hammer and nails visibly, do I need to use a nail set and then fill the holes?

It was probably 12mm if I remember correctly. This hole that is formed, won't paint be enough to cover it? I assume that the depth of the hole also varies depending on how hard the wood nail hits. How have you done it when using a nail gun for interior paneling?

It can be difficult to adjust the nail gun so that the nail doesn’t go through when nailing hidden. I had nailed hidden with a hammer and punch, it takes insignificantly longer than dealing with clips, but when I was working, clips were quite expensive, but that might have changed.
If you're having problems with it cracking, it might be because the nail is too sharp/pointy, or it's too thick. However, you should expect a few cracks.
