my roof trusses in my 1 1/2 prefab house are not exactly in the same plane...

I haven't thought about it, but shouldn't all the roof trusses align with each other? Otherwise, it seems like they are crooked downwards or upwards. If the trusses are a little too far out on one side and another in the other direction, so they don’t center exactly at the top, there could be deviations. Then there's something in my eyes that doesn't seem right, but I could be wrong.

Had you built the darn thing yourself then possibly. Now it varies quite significantly, 6-7mm between certain rafters.R rävlyan said:Haven't thought about it, but shouldn't all rafters align with each other, otherwise it seems like they are crooked downwards or upwards. Maybe it won't be noticeable in the end? The support legs are a bit of the same story where you don't dare to pull out the level and measure :/

6-7mm is not visible in a ceiling.
If you don't cut the batten yourself today, it will differ a few mm here or there, otherwise if there are large variations in the roof, I screw the batten to the hanbjälken, measure the irregularities, screw down the batten a bit, place masonite in between, and screw it back....
