I haven't thought about it, but shouldn't all the roof trusses align with each other? Otherwise, it seems like they are crooked downwards or upwards. If the trusses are a little too far out on one side and another in the other direction, so they don’t center exactly at the top, there could be deviations. Then there's something in my eyes that doesn't seem right, but I could be wrong.

Had you built the darn thing yourself then possibly. Now it varies quite significantly, 6-7mm between certain rafters.R rävlyan said:

What you can do is stretch a thread from one side to the other and saw intermediate supports under the battens to get it to template. Masonite is usually good as it is stiff and hard, and it can be split in the middle.
Long straightedge and masonite strips. Position yourself at a level suitable for you. A few mm isn't worth fussing over, but if it approaches cm, it might be time to shim...

6-7mm is not visible in a ceiling.
If you don't cut the batten yourself today, it will differ a few mm here or there, otherwise if there are large variations in the roof, I screw the batten to the hanbjälken, measure the irregularities, screw down the batten a bit, place masonite in between, and screw it back....
