I need to move a ceiling lamp in a room about 20-30 cm. What's the best way to hang the lamp? The lamp currently hangs on a hook on a standard ceiling socket? The lamp weighs about 1 kg and I would preferably like to avoid using an expansion hook since expanders are quite "permanent"
(in case I ever want to remove it).

Assuming it's a plaster ceiling since you're considering expanders.
Then I would say it's either that or if you can find a beam you can screw into...
There are expanders that are removable...
