Hello,

Building an interior wall with wooden studs, I had just screwed the stud to the ceiling with two mounting screws 8x100 and was about to create a third hole. I thought I would remove the latest screw to drill more easily by moving the stud 30 degrees while making the hole.

Used the screwdriver and now the head of the screw is completely stripped... There's absolutely no grip, and trying to hammer in or pull out the screw is futile. Is there any way to get it out? What do I do later when the wall needs to come down and that screw needs to be removed...

If you can reach with plygrip or a similar plier and manually screw it out? Otherwise, you can drill out the head of the screw and remove the board, use a reciprocating saw in your case between the stud and the ceiling. The last and most tried method is pure physical force :D

haha sounds like it will be a tried and tested method anyway when the time comes :) Thanks for the info, I thought there was some clever way I hadn't thought of yet.
