I have bought a mirror for the home gym in two parts where each part is about 1.5x2m, and apparently the mirror should be glued to the wall. But I feel a bit hesitant about only using glue, I'm considering if I shouldn't use a trim at the top and bottom or what does the expert panel say, how should I mount the mirror?

Here is a picture of the wall, the tracks will be removed before the installation.

No one who has mounted mirrors?

The problem with the glue isn't that the mirror falls off, but that you'll never remove it without damaging the wall... If you want to be able to remove them easily, you can of course place them on a ledge, or use another mounting solution, such as those classic bathroom mirror metal brackets...

If you don't care about removing the mirror, just glue it on...

Okay, if we choose list, what type of list or sheet angles are we talking about, any link?

If they weigh that much, I would screw an L-bracket at the bottom that carries the entire weight. But it should work with some of the examples on the link, you just need to place enough at the bottom.

A question, is there any film on the mirrors? It seems pretty dangerous with such large regular mirrors in a gym. And why would one want mirrors in the gym?

An alternative solution could be to glue the mirror onto some kind of board that is slightly larger than the mirror, and screw the board into the wall. That way, it becomes a bit easier to remove if one would want to do so.

That's what I was thinking too, I'll see if I find an edge strip that I can mount at the bottom, if not, I'll probably just go with some kind of board that I mount and then glue the mirror onto.

mlkjhr: I hope you're trolling now regarding mirror and gym :)

There are profiles for it, go to the nearest glazier, and he will arrange it.
I bought the profile today but the question is what bolts/screws should be used, I mean the head must be more or less flat for the 6mm mirror to fit? Otherwise, I was thinking of gluing the strip?

It works with assembly screws or wood screws with a countersunk head, the gap becomes larger where you drive the screw.

You can put a piece of tape on the screw heads so they don't rub against the back of the mirror.

Can't really find a concrete screw with a countersunk head on Bauhaus' website?

If you drill and plug, you can use regular countersunk screws for wood.
