We would like to hang a chandelier weighing around 15-20 kg from the ceiling. I did some investigation drilling and the ceiling consists of about 20 mm of gypsum followed by approximately 10 mm of wood in some sort of sandwich. Then there is air/insulation. Are there molly bolts that can handle about 30 mm, for example? Or is another method preferable? Can the ceiling handle such a high point load?
