I have a sunroom that is built outside a former exterior door. The previous owners who did this left the exterior door (aluminum frame) as the door to the sunroom. The former facade has been removed (probably just the facing board) and instead, it is clad with an inner panel. I'm thinking of installing a pull-up bar in the sunroom where the former outer facade was. The problem is that I don't know where the studs are. But if the door is 12x21, there should be a door opening of 1200x2100 mm if I understand it correctly? Which should be framed with studs that are at least 45mm wide, I assume? Can I thus assume that if I center the bar over the door and screw with CC 1250, I will hit the vertical studs that make up the door opening?
Hope that was understandable =)
