What experience do you have with ByggMax white-painted door casings and baseboards?

Does the paint hold up?

Is it "turbovirke" (the nail goes right through when you use a nail gun)?

Two years later it still looks good, however my parents are 70+ and don't party as hard anymore. I used a brad nailer, no problems, can't remember how many bar though..

Only positive experiences, I buy all other building materials at Beijer except for moldings and trim, then I go to Byggmax. It's no problem to find long and straight ones there, which can otherwise be a hassle. I have in fact only used the hammer ;-)

Works well with a nail gun.

They are probably like most other lister. Mine have been in place for a couple of years, so nothing has been noticeable with the color yet. And the trät is probably like trät usually is in lister.

I was at Hornbach yesterday checking out some moldings. The paint probably wasn't applied with as many layers as at ByggMax and in some places, you could almost see through.

HornBach, 19:- vs ByggMax 19.45:-
Everything points to ByggMax except the price, which is negligible.

Considering that our local hardware store charges around 45:- m, it will be ByggMax for me next time as well...

I didn't buy any lumber from ByggMax because I had plenty of timber lying around at home. I hadn't planned on using it yet but I couldn't resist. Now there's a lot of work just because of that :D. Edging, sanding, priming, and painting, but I couldn't help myself.

I did fell trees the winter before last, which I have now cut into 13*56.3 :D so it's real timber. No joints and no knots, quality.

I'll see if I have the energy to do the same with the baseboards too; it takes a bit of time but it might be worth it, as it turns out very nice. The feeling isn't bad either because I know where the trees stood :D.

Yes, if you have time then...

It was 50 meters of white-painted baseboard from ByggMax yesterday. :D
The rest will stay in the basement, awaiting the renovation down there.

hahahaha, Cut up MDF that I was going to paint (mouldings) then I was also going to skimp on baseboards so the old ones would be painted, ended up buying everything at byggmax because it was too damn boring to paint at that price :)

5 bar is just right and if you're careful, it turns out really nice. ;)
Unlike constructions where moldings are sprayed out of the saw.
