Hi.

I am in the process of renovating a townhouse from 1962 and need to add quite a few moldings.

Baseboards from that time were basically like today's standard 12x69, but the top side is beveled about 10 degrees instead of being horizontal with just a rounding at the corner like today's baseboards. I'm a bit particular and would like to get the right kind. One option is to plane and mill myself, but I would prefer to avoid that.

Does anyone know of any planing mill or any other place where I could get the right profile?

The nearest carpenter can fix this if it is not available ready-made at the lumber yard.

Yes, that might be the way. Thank you.

It turns out that Södra planes according to the old profile below while Moelven uses the more boring but quicker-to-set profile with ninety degrees at the top edge.
