Hello everyone!

I'm going to install moldings and trims and I'm wondering what the best fastening method is.

The moldings are 21x95 (allmoge) so I guess nailing with white brads is the way to go, right?

The baseboard is 21x120 and in some rooms, some walls are brick and some are drywall with studs behind. My thought is whether I should nail the trim on the drywall/stud wall and use nail anchors on the brick wall? Or should I screw the trim into the drywall/stud wall and use nail anchors in the brick?

One thought I have is to screw into the drywall/stud wall and then drill and plug the brick wall and then use the same screw for the brick as for the drywall. This way, I won't need two different types of screws/nails in the same room. But it's a bit more work, though...

I assume it's purely an aesthetic question, and the strength will be sufficient no matter how I do it?

Or are there other options? Everything is untreated and I prime and paint before mounting, then touch up the paint after installation.

It's also possible to glue.
