Hello
Our carpenter built a small interior wall as shown on the right in the picture. The right side is an exterior wall.
He placed the studs directly on the concrete, which is a slab on grade (ground floor, no basement).
Usually, a moisture barrier is placed between the floor and the wood. The carpenter is very skilled and has been working with houses for 35 years.
Is it overkill to use moisture protection on such a small “wall piece” that will be close to a slightly airy threshold?
