Hello!

I'm renovating a room on the upper floor of our house from 1934. I've torn down what I believe is masonite/board from the ceiling. I see these moisture marks on the wood panel above, but it's completely dry everywhere when measured. The outer roof/attic doesn't have any major problems. Do I need to think further about this or can I go ahead and continue renovating since it's completely dry now?

Which moisture markings? Is an image missing?

Sorry, forgot to attach.

  • Wooden ceiling panels with a small hole and visible damaged section, revealing plaster underneath in a room corner.
  • Wooden wall with visible damage and peeling plaster at the bottom edge.
It looks like moisture that got trapped there during cold storage. I've seen it in summer cottages, among other places. I wouldn't have worried about that at all.
