Hello,

About 5 years ago, I did a complete renovation of the apartment, and among other things, wall mirrors were installed. Unfortunately, these were purchased from Beijer/Bygg-Ole in Nacka and were manufactured at their own planing mill, which has since been closed down.

Now it's being remodeled a bit again, and we need to add a couple of meters. I have tried to contact Beijer to see if they (against all odds) still have the profile steel somewhere as there might be a chance to recreate them. I have been told it's unlikely, but they might be able to provide the drawing.

This seems to be a relatively common problem, I think, so the question is if anyone has a good tip on how to proceed? Manufacturing new ones from scratch (including new profile steel, etc.) costs at least 8,500 SEK, as I understand it, so it would be nice to avoid that. For example, can you buy a similar one and modify it (planing or filling in with something like plaster)? I have seen that sekelskifte.se has a similar molding, https://www.sekelskifte.com/product/dekorlist-dorrspegellist-15x33-mm. Or is there a carpenter/molding supplier who can custom-make a shorter piece cheaper?

All the best

Check with panelochlist if they have something equivalent. If not, they manufacture according to the drawing.
