Does anyone know when cement-based boards (e.g. Minerit) WITHOUT asbestos came onto the market?
And, is there any way to tell the difference between this type of board and asbestos-cement boards?
That is, without having to take samples.
For example, color, texture, thickness, hardness, pre-drilled holes, etc?

Grateful for tips!

Asbestos was banned sometime in the late 70s to early 80s. Total ban in 82 if I'm not mistaken.

Unfortunately, it's difficult to tell if a material contains asbestos just by looking at it, but to some extent, the fiber structure can be detected (although the fibers could also be from something else).
