Hello!

I've been googling around a bit, and the algorithms are leading me to the wrong stuff. So I apologize if this topic has already been discussed.

Well, I have been a bit unconventional and bought electrical outlets that require a backbox according to English standards. That is, they are rectangular.

All the walls in the apartment are made of plaster and brick. I would like to try doing this myself.

I plan to start by marking out the box, then using a hammer drill to make some holes according to the template. In the corners and so on. Then I will take a chisel and try to hammer into the porous brick. Does this sound completely crazy and should be done differently?

Now I imagine a professional might chuckle

How should I proceed? I don't have much experience but I'm willing to learn.

Regards
