We are about to start renovating our living room and will replace the ceiling. There's currently a woven ceiling in place and we are thinking of taking it down and putting up plasterboard instead. However, we've previously noticed that the seams can easily show through when painting the ceiling, so now we're considering whether Microlit is something to invest in for the ceiling. Has anyone used it and does it make a difference? We are also considering that the ceiling should not get visible cracks when the house moves, with the thought of using Microlit.

Lovely to hear, Stefan N! Have you laid Microliten edge to edge, or have you overlapped it? Are there seams that require some spackling before painting even on Microliten?
We have microlit (from Flügger) on the kitchen ceiling, about 25 sqm, in a single-story house. We put it up to reduce the risk of cracking. It has worked great for almost a year now, not the slightest sign of cracks. We placed it edge to edge, a bit fiddly, but it's manageable with two people! We've done some overlap in other places in the house, and it doesn't look great. Try to place it edge to edge. The paint doesn't cover the overlap, and spackle gives the wrong surface against the microlit.
