Metal roof (T20) with different thickness
If you look at Byggmax and Bauhaus, it's very difficult to find 0.5 mm T20 sheet metal roofing (Byggmax has it in some stores but too far away for me).
The question is; that little tenth of a millimeter - how much difference can it make? Does anyone know?
Thanks!

I have installed 0.4 sheet metal from Byggmax on an extension of my tractor garage, it's just impossible to go up on that roof, way too soft, but I'm still satisfied with the roof. But if you want a roof that you need to go up on sometimes, it's just out of the question.
thanks for the answer!
1) shouldn't it be possible to lay out beams and crawl on them if you need to get up on the roof? I'm going for a 10-degree slope, so it should work
2) would 0.5 mm mean it CAN support going up on it? You might not be able to answer that, I realize

If the sheet lies on a shingled roof, I can at least walk on it. If it lies on battens, you have to walk on top of it, so it works fine if you weigh like an average Svensson.
But it is fragile, that's for sure. It easily gets dents.

I have two roofs with 0.4 and 0.5 sheet metal respectively. No major difference actually, except that the 0.4 sheet is somewhat easier to handle due to being slightly lighter. Dents occur in all sheet metal if you're not careful. If you only step in the valleys and where the sheet is attached to the battens, there are no problems with 0.4 sheet. (Conversely, dents will also occur in the 0.5 sheet if you step on the peaks and in between the rafters...)
