Hello!
I'm in the early stages of starting the installation of a passive Platon floor (platon multi) in our extension. The Platon system will be installed because the concrete is drying slowly, and we can no longer wait to lay the floor.
The problem is that I "accidentally" cut off the vapor barrier that was in the wall and extended onto the floor (see picture), to be able to seal the corner between the wall/floor with Platon Sealing Tape (see picture, blue tape). But now I realize that it might not have been so smart, as there might be a risk of moisture leaking through the wall/floor corner where I cut the plastic.
I'm most worried/paranoid about future moisture/mold problems in the wall because moist indoor air might find its way into the outer wall through the gap between the wall/floor because I cut the plastic.
How can I solve this problem in the best way?
Will it be sufficiently sealed when the blue butyl tape is installed?
Or should I try to cut open 1-2 cm of the wall at the bottom to access the vapor barrier and try to seal it with butyl sealant in the concrete floor?
Or should one just apply an extra seal in the wall/floor corner?
Thanks in advance // Joakim
