Hi! I'm in the process of a small building project and I need a couple of 22 mm MDF boards. I would first like to know the approximate price for a 1200x2400 mm MDF board. Then I would like to know where in the Gothenburg area I can buy the MDF boards and have them cut, preferably in the same place and at a reasonable price. How much does it usually cost to have the boards cut, per cut, do you think?!? I've checked Beijer but they seem to be quite expensive in comparison, I've been told.

Hornbach has boards, which unfortunately are stored outside under a roof. Bauhaus in Bäckebol stores theirs indoors and offers cutting service. These two have reasonable prices, but I don't know how the service is.
The closest you get to Majorna must be Frölunda where there should be some smaller building supplies store, I think. Not that I know anything, but there are a whole bunch of other paint, wallpaper, and flooring companies there, so you never know!
Otherwise, there's Mölndal! K-Rauta has a very good cutting service. Open from 7 in the morning. They're probably not the cheapest though..
Don't you have a car? You can rent trucks at Statoil Marconimotet which isn't too far from here if you need it.. But maybe that's what you want to avoid

MDF can be found at most places that sell building materials. These cost around 100-180 SEK/m2 depending on thickness. If you need precision work for the cutting, it will probably cost around 300-400 SEK per hour. At Beijer, they can usually be nice and cut without charge. However, you probably can't be too demanding. Good luck with the project and promise us to show pictures of the finished work!
