Material cost for sidelights next to front door

We want to remove the sidelight next to the front door and install a new sidelight. The materials for this project listed in the quote include paint, filler, studs, gig, plasterboard, consumables, and an inspection hatch. What is the difference between the first four and consumables? How much does an inspection hatch cost? I'll obviously talk to the person who provided the quote, but it would be good to have other references on the matter. The sidelight is priced at just under 7000 SEK, which seems reasonable to me, but regarding the above, he could say anything, I have no idea...

Consumables are screws, nails, protective plastic, wedges, etc. The other materials listed are things that are consumed (more or less) in their entirety.

What you are describing shouldn't need an inspection hatch; it must be something more than replacing a sidelight. Such hatches come in a variety of types, with prices ranging from just over 100 to up to 10,000, depending on the size and type of hatch.

Shouldn't there be glass in the new sidelight?

Thanks for the answer. Yes, it should be some kind of solution with light entry, the quote says "sidelight with wooden frame". I have asked for a picture/sketch of what is planned. Will ask what an inspection hatch is. Thanks a lot again!

I'm a bit surprised that the glass is not included in the material description. It should be the largest item. Especially if it becomes insulated glass, as it should be.

I think that's what they've priced at just under 7000.
