Hello, I am installing a Husqvarna 727 wood stove. It will be encased in a foundation of leca blocks, there will be about 20 cm leca blocks directly on each side and behind it. Underneath, there will be a wood hatch. I have used kc c mortar and will plaster with the same (but kc c fine). Should I use bonding mortar A and plaster mesh beforehand, or will it adhere anyway? Could there be problems with heat/movement with the mesh and an A-bonding mortar? I plan to apply 10mm plaster.

Mesh and A-mortar indoors feel like overkill. Traditionally, lime mortar has been applied directly indoors. From the 1950s, the equivalent of C-mortar. Additionally, A-mortar is stiffer and has less ability to move without cracking. (But outdoors it is good because it is waterproof.)

Thanks, then I'll apply the mortar directly
