Hi Click... Now I don't know what that center thing is called... but can't you just buy a drill intended for making frame screw holes?? It's a large drill with a centering drill. You can buy it at most hardware stores or Biltema. I had to have one because my frames didn't have fully drilled-through holes.

14 mm wood drill bit (the flat one) works for drilling holes and marking where the frame screw should sit in the wooden frame. Use a low speed on the screwdriver when marking.

What you are looking for is an induprog frame fixture. It is intended to temporarily fix the frame until you fasten it with frame screws.

In the movie, he uses them incorrectly; they come in sets of 4. They are not meant to mark where the frame screw should be (though they do), but to temporarily fix the frame before screwing. You lift the window and place it where you want it, then secure it with the tool. Now the window is secure, and you only need one person left to screw it in place. You replace the dub with the screw one by one. I've installed about 8000 windows using this method.

I had to read up on Essve to understand how they intended for it to be used. I've installed all the doors and windows in this house with Induprogs and have never felt the need for more fixation than what the sleeve itself provides. I think one of the major advantages of the sleeve is that no additional fixation is needed.

it's faster with regular frame screws.
when installing large sections, the "supports" are perfect.

the frame sleeves work well but I dislike them for doors and windows because it takes longer.

but the frame sleeves are perfect for aluminum frames.

Sockets are sturdy but take far too long.

....but not for too long for those renovating their own homes. It is probably the case that for most DIY window changers, the hylsor save time.
