Hi!
We are currently building a dormer, and because it is quite difficult to access on our roof, we are thinking of trying to find a maintenance-free panel. The rest of the house has a wood panel with locks, where the locks and the underboard have the same width of 10 cm. The "valley" of the lock panel is thus about 6 cm wide. We were thinking of finding a metal sheet that resembles this, but it seems difficult. Does anyone have tips and possible alternatives?
Many thanks/Tuppen

;D I think I've found the solution (I hope), so I'm replying to myself in case anyone else is curious. It wasn't easy, and I initially considered metal, but that was a dead end. The profiles available in sheet metal are clearly designed for roofs and industrial facades, not very attractive. But...

Then I came across a fibercement plank that has just started to be introduced in Sweden. It's called HardiPlank, and more info is available at www.ivarssonsverige.se. They promise it's maintenance-free, fireproof, etc., and I'm supposed to get samples next week, so I might get back with a "yea or nay."

Hey.

I'm a bit curious to see pictures of the result and cost?
