I would need wood in small dimensions, say 8x33 mm. Is planed the only option? Looking at byggmax, Bauhaus but can't find any alternatives. Isn't there untreated or pressure-treated wood in such small dimensions?

Depending on the finish requirements, the simplest way is to buy 33mm thick boards and cut 8mm widths from it. This can be done with a circular saw or a table saw.

Even better if you also have a planer. But I realize not everyone has that.
 
Yes, it's indeed something to think about.

But the answer is no, right? Planed is what's used for small finished dimensions?
 
What are the usual dimensions for the ströläkt at lumber yards? Although they are short pieces that aren't always very nice, if they are good enough, you can probably take as much as you want for free.
