I am going to lower my bathroom ceiling to make space for lighting.
I have been recommended to use metal studs for this since it is best to use non-perishable materials for ceilings.
The only metal studs I find in the store are for walls; are these the same ones used for ceilings?
Or where can I find ceiling metal studs in the Stockholm area?

No, they are probably not the same? Go to a hardware store and ask. We bought metallreglar at K-rauta.
Drywall that was spackled and painted.

I recognize the above! The plaster was screwed into that profile. But first, I recall that I installed http://www.beijerbygg.se/templates/BB_Produkt.aspx?id=3859 in the walls and ceiling.
