Lower ceiling apt moisture barrier ??
I've been sporadically searching for answers over several days on whether a vapor barrier/moisture barrier is necessary when installing a gypsum ceiling in an apartment.
This new apartment had a damaged stretched fabric that we thought could be replaced with gypsum for increased sound insulation against the neighbors above.
My inner thought is that a moisture barrier might not be needed in an apartment with a cement/concrete ceiling? But I'm not 100% sure.
Does anyone know?
